Weight per metre, total weight and surface area for bars, angles and hollow sections. Use the weight chart for beams and channels.
Approximate values using sharp-corner geometry, ignoring root and corner radii, so catalogue weights differ by a small percentage. Surface area is the outer perimeter times the length. For beams and channels use the weight chart or the mill catalogue. Send the steel list for a quotation →

Gasify Middle East Trading LLC is a UAE-based industrial supplier and stockist of structural steel sections in carbon steel and high-strength low-alloy grades. From offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai we support EPC contractors, fabricators, plant procurement teams and project owners in oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, power generation, water and infrastructure.
Our structural steel range covers beams and columns to EN 10365 and ASTM A992, channels, angles and T sections, hollow sections to EN 10210, EN 10219 and ASTM A500, hot-rolled bars, and grating and handrails for platforms. We source the sections, grades, lengths and finishes your design calls for, with EN 10204 3.1 certificates and heat-number traceability.
Projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC often reference ADNOC or Saudi Aramco specifications, approved manufacturer lists and inspection requirements. Gasify reviews these requirements against the steel you need, coordinates the documentation and inspection called for by the order, and supports the RFQ from technical clarification to delivery. Approval status is never assumed. Requirements are confirmed against each project's documents.
IPE and IPN beams, HEA, HEB and HEM columns, UB and UC sections, and ASTM A992 W shapes are supplied in S275, S355, A36 and A572 Gr 50 grades, with toughness grades J0, J2 and K2 where the design requires them. HEB columns and IPE beams are the usual pairing for pipe rack and process structure frames.
UPN, UPE and PFC channels serve purlins, bracing and supports. Equal and unequal angles serve trusses and brackets. Square, rectangular and circular hollow sections in hot-finished and cold-formed forms serve trusses, columns and architectural steel.
For the Gulf coastal and industrial environment, sections can be supplied blasted and primed, painted to an ISO 12944 system or hot-dip galvanised to EN ISO 1461, on enquiry. The coating choice follows the corrosivity category and design life stated in the project specification.
Steel grating, checkered plate, handrails, ladders and stair treads for platforms and walkways can be supplied with the structural steel in carbon steel or galvanised finish, to the load class and bar spacing on your datasheet.
Structural steel rarely travels alone. Gasify can consolidate sections with steel plates, steel pipes, fittings, flanges and valves in a single package, with phased deliveries to the UAE, GCC, Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Explore how we work on our project supply page or read about oil and gas supply.
Gasify combines UAE-based supplier and stockist support with international mill and manufacturer sourcing. Availability depends on section, grade, size, length and quantity, so current stock is confirmed for each RFQ.
Gasify supports procurement against project material requisitions and client specifications, including ADNOC and Saudi Aramco requirements where the project calls for them. Approved manufacturer and vendor list requirements are reviewed for each project. Gasify does not represent an approval status unless it is formally documented.
The range covers beams, H columns, channels, angles, T sections, hollow sections, flat, round and square bars, grating, handrails and platform accessories, and cut-to-size, coated and fabricated structural steel on enquiry.
IPE beams are lighter and have narrower flanges, suited to beams in bending. HEA and HEB are wide-flange H sections for columns and heavily loaded members. For the same depth, HEB has thicker flanges and web than HEA and carries higher loads. Weights per metre for common sizes are in the weight chart on this page.
S275 and S355 give the minimum yield strength in MPa. The letters JR, J0, J2 and K2 give the Charpy impact test: JR is 27 J at +20 °C, J0 is 27 J at 0 °C, J2 is 27 J at −20 °C and K2 is 40 J at −20 °C. Pick the grade to suit the minimum service temperature and the design code.
They are close in use but not identical. A36 has a minimum yield of 250 MPa and S275 has 275 MPa, and the chemistry and testing differ. The A992 and A572 Gr 50 grades are nearer in strength to S355. Confirm any substitution against the design code and project specification.
Hot finished hollow sections to EN 10210 are heat treated after forming, giving uniform properties and sharper corners. Cold formed sections to EN 10219 have strain-hardened corners and are produced to wider size ranges. Design codes treat them slightly differently, so the product standard must be stated in the RFQ.
Hot-dip galvanising gives long-life protection for exposed platforms, supports and coastal steel. Paint systems to ISO 12944 allow site touch-up and colour coding. The choice depends on the corrosivity category, the design life, the member size and the project specification. Closed hollow sections need venting holes for galvanising.
Structural bolting assemblies to ASTM F3125, ISO 898-1 or EN 14399 can be supplied with the sections, on enquiry. Include the grade, finish and quantity in the RFQ.
Cut-to-length, drilled, blasted, primed, painted and galvanised steel is available on enquiry, and fabricated items such as pipe rack members can be quoted against drawings. Send drawings or a cutting list with grade and quantity.
Sections are supplied with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates showing the heat numbers. Impact tests, UT, Z-grade tests, coating inspection reports, EN 10204 3.2 certification and third-party inspection can be coordinated where the project specifies them.
Send your MTO, BOQ or drawings with section designation, grade and standard, length, quantity, coating or finish, required tests and certificates, and delivery location. The procurement team reviews the requirement and responds with a quotation.
Yes. Gasify coordinates delivery from the UAE to the GCC, wider Middle East, Africa and South Asia, subject to product, quantity, destination and logistics requirements. Include the delivery location in your RFQ.
Share your MTO, BOQ, drawings or cutting list with the delivery location. Our procurement team will review sections, grades, finishes and documentation, then coordinate sourcing, quotation and delivery.
